Wellness Resources

Among other initiatives, the Verona Area High School Student Services Department aims to promote healthy habits that support learning. This page offers a non-exhaustive list of website links to local resources that may be helpful in providing information about personal, social, health-related, and emotional issues. The links that follow are not the only access points to achieving support regarding personal, social, health-related, or emotional concerns, but are intended to serve as a great starting point. Additionally, the following resources are NOT endorsed or affiliated with the Verona Area School District, and the Verona Area School District is not liable for information or services that they provide. Furthermore, the Student Services Department staff is readily available to address the needs and concerns of our students and parents.

Access Community Health Center: a non-profit organization with the mission of improving the health and lives of people who otherwise face financial, cultural, or language obstacles that prevent access to high-quality, affordable health care.
Badger Prairie Needs Network (BPNN): an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting poverty and ending hunger locally.
Boys & Girls Club of Dane County: the goal is to lead the way in youth development programs by working together with local businesses, foundations, and community programs to produce positive outcomes for nearly 6,500 young people and their families.
Briarpatch Youth Services, Inc: a private, non-profit organization serving Dane County. The agency’s mission is to provide innovative services dedicated to strengthening and improving the lives of youth, their families and community with a major service being the FREE Youth Shelter.
Connections Counseling: a unique and strength based clinic focused on creating a safe and supportive environment for young people, families, and adults to find a recovery community conducive to hope and healing.
Dane County Department of Human Services: offers a wide variety of programs and services to people in need in Dane County.
Journey Mental Health Center: mission is to improve people’s lives by pioneering and sustaining effective mental health and substance use disorder services.
The Road Home Dane County: provides opportunities for homeless children and their families to achieve self-determined goals and affordable, stable housing.
