The Minority Student Achievement Network (MSAN) is based out of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has 25 school districts active across the nation. The official MSAN mission is "To understand and change school practices and structures that keep racial achievement gaps in place while improving the achievement of all students". Six to eight VAHS students attend the MSAN National Student Conference annually and create an action plan to continuously improve the VAHS school community. At VAHS, we are creating a culture of students interested in the MSAN project. Any interested students may attend the MSAN A+ sessions to help in the development and implementation of the action plan.
